NOTES: Dark frames but no flats (yet). This is a work in progress – will get a new set of flats (I was too late to get them Saturday evening) and re-preprocess everything to get rid of the vignetting. All things considered, I like the amount of data I collected. Thought it was framed a little better than it is – even tried 5 minute exposures to get the framing. It’s close, but could be a little higher in the frame. North is left in this image. Sure like the modified camera! --- Just reprocessed the IC 405 Flaming Star Nebula image I shot in the Grasslands Saturday night. Found a usable set of flats. Sure brings out lots more detail when one isn’t trying to deal with vignetting issues along with everything else that requires stretching, compressing, balancing and otherwise manipulating. |
